psb Creativity Award for Intralogistics: Prize winners 2010
With their term paper on »Modelling of a Catalog of Requirements, and Design of an Intralogistics System and Software, with UML2« Thorsten Keller and Erik Neurohr were ahead of the competition. The students wrote their thesis in the department Process Automation and Control Systems, as part of their degree program Applied Informatics at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern, location Zweibrücken.
In his laudation, Professor Dr.-Ing. Uwe Tronnier explained that the students were asked to »automate a model factory, and to coordinate this automation in a way that products can be ordered in a web shop, manufactured, picked and delivered. In their work, Erik Neurohr and Thorsten Keller applied analytical and design methods of information technology, with view to intralogistics requirements, and examined to which extend these methods describe the process and system properties effectivelly.«
