psb green efficiency: a project advantage

In our industrial sector, green logistics is a key subject. With »green efficiency«, this year, we have introduced a psb brand name, which expresses our pioneering role. With its consistent concept in this area, psb could already »score« in concrete project decisions. And this experience is highly appreciated:
psb has already discussed this topic in several interviews, presentations and round-table talks.
At psb, »green efficiency« starts in the design and concept phase. Yet, the point is not just to utilize only few and energy-saving elements. The application of energy-saving drives or energy recovery modules in AS/RS stacker cranes and shuttle system in the meantime has become standard for us. Our focus is on the concept phase. Already in this early stage, from an energy engineering point of view, the system solution has to be individually defined for the customer’s business processes. With customized concepts, overproduction is avoided. Customized concepts allow for an adaptive extension of the solution, in step with the growth of our customers’ businesses.
An example: We have implemented a logistics installation, which under full load moves more than a hundred vario.sprinter shuttles, over twelve lifts, to nine psb rotapick high performance systems. With minimum load, the same system installation reaches with just one vario.sprinter any bin in the storage randomly, and is able to transport any bin to the active rotapick order picking station, by utilizing one lift and one conveyor track only. This is psb’s notion of »green efficiency« in the concept phase.
