psb hands over to ZF Hungary an automated
high bay warehouse for pallets and small parts
ZF is one of the world leaders for drive technology. In Eger/Hungary, drives for pick ups/vans and small trucks are made. Eger is already the third ZF location, where the productivity has been enhanced with psb systems technology.
After only 10 months, several decentralized warehouses were consolidated under »one roof«, in order to organize the supply of material for the own production processes more efficiently. Through the new system installation, both, inventory control and the internal supply of materials, became much more easier.
psb installed an automated warehouse for pallets and small parts, inclusive of the corresponding order picking technology.
In the pallet warehouse (2 aisles), 6,000 euro-pallets, industrial pallets and pallet cages are stored double-deep. The 1-aisle small parts warehouse, designed for steel trays (640 x 425 mm), has 10,000 locations. The rack is 17 m high and 85 m long.
A rack aisle is operated by two psb maxloader and two psb runloader AS/RS units. These machines, representing the latest generation of AS/RS systems, are equipped with energy recovery modules. The goods-in and order picking stations are connected with a variety of psb chain, roller and belt conveyors. The processes are organized by applying the psb warehouse management software selektron, with SAP interfaces.
