Award for psb intralogistics

With the »MM-Logistik-Award to CeMAT 2011« in the category »Order picking« an innovation was recognized, which was presented live, during the fair, to an international audience.

The forward-looking concept consists of elements of the psb high performance order picking system rotapick 3.0 and the psb shuttle vario.sprinter, as well as, MHE components which are arranged in a way to allow material flows without transfer crossovers.

rotapick 3.0 represents the consequent enhancement for improved order picking; it is applied, for example, in internet trade (e-commerce), with its high demands for flexible reaction. The main innovations are the reversibility of movements within a vertical level (»slice module«) and the parallel-dynamic optimum movement of all bins at the same time.

With this, the waiting time for the next bins at the order picking station is reduced considerably. The effect is a significant increase in performance. The operations are supported by plain and clear control elements (photo of the item to be picked, pick by voice, and/or scanning of item barcode) for more exact (error free) and efficient picking. The bins are provided to the operator in a slightly tilted position (ergonomically optimized).

The implementation in current projects in the e-commerce and fashion business, shows, that the benefits with respect to ergonomics, economic efficiency and process reliability of this modern intralogistics solution, have already been recognized by our customers.
