psb scores with »green efficiency«

In our line of business, everybody is talking about green logistics. In the intralogistics sector, psb is a driving force in this movement – which, as a matter of fact, is easily verifiable. With »green efficiency« we have now introduced in the market a psb brand, in order to express this pioneering role.
In 2008 already, psb was awarded several saving energy/energy efficiency prizes, for its innovations (e.g. in energy recovery, saving more than 40% of energy). »green efficiency« for psb certainly implies much more than »just« energy recovery. Energy-efficient intralogistics already starts in the design phase: to plan system installations in a way that during normal work load, or light load, not all conveyor elements need to be active. Or to calculate in advance the suitable packing sizes for a customer order. These are only two examples, pointing out that it is very important to take »green efficiency« into account already, at a very early stage of a project.
We have a lot of possibilities in hand to apply this, beginning in the early design and layout phase, and ending at the implementation stage, on site by employing high-performance drive technology, to mention just one example.
