Repeated order for psb by Max Schlatterer
Within very short time only, Max Schlatterer GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, decided to realize two projects with psb. In the first step, an overhead conveyor system was ordered, for connecting different manufacturing areas. After two months only, the customer asked psb to install also an automated small parts warehouse.
With its wide range of products, psb was able to convince with its warehousing concept, plus the uninterrupted production supply with overhead conveyor technology (without transfer crossovers), all designed and built by a single company. The necessary coordination with third party suppliers thus is kept at a minimum, which for our customer reduces the expenses significantly.
Endless belts and tapes are the focal point around which everything revolves at Max Schlatterer GmbH & Co. KG. Under the »Esband« brand, the company produces and distributes drive belts, conveyor belts, special belts and tapes for the cigarette industry. Max Schlatterer operates worldwide, and as the global market leader it sets the quality standards in the field of high-performance belts and tapes.
psb grid conveyors connect the goods receiving, weaving, calendaring and dispatch areas. This system solution, as part of the endless circular conveyors, allows for randomly picking up the items to be conveyed, and is available as transport means over the entire conveying route. Another advantage is that the well-aimed transfer, e.g. to a pusher, is not necessary.
Passages can be »overcome« easily, because with this conveyor incline travel is possible. At the destinations, the transported items are automatically removed from the conveyor.
Intermediate buffering of the small parts, with all associated disadvantages, as e.g. double articles at different locations in the warehouse, stock differences, etc., for Max Schlatterer belong to the past. With the new automated small parts warehouse by psb, all storable small parts are kept available. Plus: Thanks to guaranteed stock transparency, faster access and efficient order processing, a high degree of economic efficiency can be reached.
With these projects, psb once again demonstrates the effectiveness of its system installations for medium-sized companies. Efficient system realizations, achieved by enhanced productivity, with innovative intralogistics, is not only a matter of large concerns.
